Perfect Gandhi Jayanti Anchoring Script for School Events
Welcome Speech:
Good morning, respected Principal, teachers, and dear friends. A very warm welcome to all of you! Today is a special day, as we have gathered here to celebrate the birth anniversary of one of the greatest leaders in Indian history – Mahatma Gandhi. Every year on the 2nd of October, we celebrate Gandhi Jayanti to remember and honor the contributions of the Father of our Nation, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi.
Mahatma Gandhi, also known as Bapu, dedicated his life to the service of the nation. His principles of non-violence, truth, and simplicity continue to inspire millions of people around the world. It is because of his peaceful movements that India gained independence from British rule. Today, as we celebrate this important occasion, let us remember his teachings and pledge to follow the path of peace and truth.
Introducing the Event:
To make this day even more meaningful, we have organized a few exciting activities. We will start with some inspiring speeches, followed by a quiz about Gandhi’s life. Then, we will witness a short play based on Gandhiji’s contribution to India’s freedom struggle. The event will end with a song dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi.
Before we begin, let’s have a moment of silence to pay tribute to the great leader.
